Tech Sales Training Today for Career Opportunities Tomorrow
It’s no secret our world is experiencing unprecedented technological advancements. If anything, the pandemic has only added to the pace of this progress. In a time of social distance, new tech tools have helped businesses of various types stay connected with customers as well as streamline processes and lower overhead costs. On the consumer side, technology has dramatically increased eCommerce expectations.
This new outlook pushes technology companies to innovate even faster, which makes tech sales a very appealing career opportunity. Developing groundbreaking hardware or software requires specialized expertise. However, selling these business solutions requires skills and competencies you can master with the right training program.
In other words, you don’t need to be a “techie” to succeed in technology sales.
What is Technology Sales?
A Technology Sales role is a skilled sales profession with knowledge in identifying the technology solutions that aligns with the consumer’s needs. The ever-changing industry provides the opportunity for value-based learning with the ability to keep up to date with new products, services, and trends.
Technology sales is an opportunity to be involved in a fast paced industry that is linked to marketplace transformation. Additionally, having access to these tools as a sales professional helps to boost productivity in your customer touchpoints. The environment brings challenges, excitement, and fulfillment.
Your next question is, how do I stand out from other candidates?
Having prior experience in customer relationship management (CRM’s), emailing prospective customers, lead generation, and negotiating are some of the desired skills in this field.
Our Technology Sales Program like the one at University of Maryland Baltimore County Training Centers can provide those skills and more. We believe we can best prepare our program graduates for success by integrating sales planning techniques with specialized skills in technology. Moreover, there is a demand for qualified professionals in this industry.
